Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Altevo (ABN 45 349 751 321) ("Altevo", "we", "us" or "our"), handles personal information collected through the website at altevo.com.au and any related pages (the "Site").
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information openly and transparently. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the "Privacy Act") and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and we apply those standards as a matter of practice whether or not we are strictly bound by them at any given time.
By using the Site or submitting an enquiry through it, you agree to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Policy.
01What personal information we collect
We aim to collect only the information we need. The personal information we collect includes:
Information you give us. When you complete the enquiry form on the Site, we collect your name, your email address, and the contents of the message you send us. If you include other personal information in your message, we will also collect that.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our hosting and security provider may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device information, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure, and understand at a general level how it is used. We do not currently use analytics or advertising tools that build a profile of you.
We do not seek to collect sensitive information (such as health, racial or ethnic, political, or similar information) through the Site. Please do not include sensitive information in your enquiry.
02How we collect personal information
We collect personal information directly from you when you submit the enquiry form, and automatically through the operation of the Site and the technical providers described in section 4. The enquiry form is operated through a third-party form service, Formspree, which receives and stores your submission and forwards it to us.
03Why we collect, hold and use your personal information
We collect, hold and use personal information for the following purposes:
- to respond to your enquiry and communicate with you;
- to provide, or discuss providing, our services to you or the organisation you represent;
- to operate, maintain, secure and improve the Site;
- to keep records of our dealings with you; and
- to comply with our legal obligations.
We will only use your personal information for a purpose for which it was collected, a directly related purpose you would reasonably expect, or another purpose you have consented to or that is otherwise permitted by law. We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to, and you can opt out at any time.
04Disclosure of personal information
We disclose personal information to third parties only where necessary for the purposes set out above. These include:
- Formspree (form processing): receives and stores enquiry-form submissions and forwards them to us.
- Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery and security): hosts and delivers the Site and processes technical information to keep it secure and available.
We may also disclose personal information to professional advisers, or where required or authorised by law, or to protect our legal rights.
These providers handle your information under their own terms and privacy policies. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers, but we encourage you to review their policies for details of how they handle data.
05Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers, including Formspree and Cloudflare, are based in or store and process data in the United States and may use infrastructure in other countries. This means your personal information may be disclosed to, or accessible from, recipients located overseas, including in the United States.
Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps in the circumstances to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, including by relying on the privacy commitments and security measures of those providers.
06Cookies
Our security and hosting provider may place essential cookies or similar technologies on your device to operate the Site, maintain security, and prevent abuse. These are necessary for the Site to function. We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but some parts of the Site may not work properly if you do.
If we introduce analytics or marketing tools in future, we will update this Policy and, where required, seek your consent.
07How we hold and protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Enquiry data is held within the systems of the providers named above and within our own email and business systems, which are protected by access controls and reputable security practices.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and while we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
08How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or de-identify it.
09Accessing and correcting your information
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. To make a request, contact us using the details in section 12. We will respond within a reasonable period. There is generally no charge for making a request, although we may charge a reasonable fee for giving access in some cases. If we refuse access or correction, we will explain why and how you can complain.
10Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please contact us first using the details in section 12 so we can try to resolve it. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable period.
